She then reassured Xavier that all was well, promising to fill him in on the specifics once everything was settled.

Inside the police station, Benjamin’s gaze kept shifting back and forth between Aurelia and Zayne.
Aaron and Spencer were present, as well as the production team.
This crowd made the police station feel incredibly cramped.

Melanie wasn’t afraid, with so many people around. After all, if anything were to happen, her three older brothers would handle it. What she couldn’t wrap her head around was how Aurelia managed to earn a million from Norman monthly, especially when Aurelia had just started working.
Additionally, Benjamin mentioned on the way that today’s incident would leave the Leedon family and the production team in a rough spot. The reason was Zayne, the lawyer.

Melanie bit her lower lip, feeling indignant.
From the corner of her eye, Aurelia noticed how intimate Aaron and Melanie were. Their interactions were slightly different from before.

Aaron’s expression was grim. “Auri, you shouldn’t have done this.”
It’s already embarrassing to end up at the police station. What on earth is she planning to do next?

She simply refused to give up.

Without a doubt, either Aurelia had spent a fortune to hire Zayne or she had promised him some benefits.
As for the benefits, one could easily guess that it was her beauty.
Zayne’s gaze was icy as he scrutinized Melanie. “No comment.”
Biting her lower lips, Melanie said, “I was just asking. Do you really need to be so heartless? Besides, we can match any offer that Aurelia can make.”
Zayne averted his gaze immediately. He had encountered numerous two–faced, pretentious. b*tches in his career. The manipulator standing before him now was of no particular significance.
Seeing Zayne completely ignore her, Melanie felt indignant. Her eyes reddening, she turned to look at Aaron.
Feeling a pang of sympathy for Melanie, Aaron walked over and gently reassured her, “There’s no need to talk to him. Regardless of how much money Aurelia spent on hiring a lawyer, we did. nothing wrong today.”
Just as Aurelia stepped out of the police station, her phone rang. It was a call from Matthew.
