Chapter 5
Hearing this, everyone present was shocked.
Tyler’s face changed. He couldn’t believe it and said, “How is this possible?”
“It’s true, Mr. Ford. You left Charlie halfway that day, causing him to be banned from entering the school due to being late. He was deeply traumatized and had an acute asthma attack, and he was sent for rescue on the spot.
“I remember that Mrs. Ford called me asking for special medicine, but I didn’t have the authority, so I sent her your location.”
Zachary spoke word by word with determination.
But Tyler hung up the phone and didn’t dare to listen anymore.
Because he knew everything that happened next.
His face turned pale instantly. He looked at me in a daze and said in a trembling voice, “So, you really didn’t lie to me that day?”
I shouted in pain, filled with hatred, “When have you ever seen me lie to you about Charlie’s life?” Hearing what I said, Tyler’s straight back bent instantly.
His eyes were lifeless and his face was pale, and he no longer had the same spirit as before.
“What on earth is going on?”
Olivia was like struck by lightning. Her lips trembled and she made an incredulous sound.
Everyone present stared at me with eyes wide open.
“What happened?”
I stared at Olivia and said angrily, “Let me tell you what happened.
“You have a good son. On the day of Charlie’s SAT, Tyler, as a father, abandoned us halfway without thinking. When Charlie and I were running hard to school for the SAT, he was driving to find Joanna. When I was carrying Charlie to the emergency room and was helpless, he was accompanying Joanna to take care of a dog!
“Charlie was in critical condition in the hospital. Only Tyler’s special medicine could save his life. As long as he delivered the medicine over, Charlie would be fine.
“When I was frantically trying to contact Tyler to save Charlie, he was busy comforting Joanna. I called him countless times and explained Charlie’s situation to him, but he just hung up and turned off his phone without even thinking!
“I couldn’t reach him by phone, so I had to leave Charlie and go find him in person. I explained the situation to him sincerely over and over again, but he didn’t believe me! So I knelt on the ground and begged him to give me medicine to save Charlie’s life, but he refused!
“When Charlie was dying, he chose to save a dog’s leg!
“It was Tyler who killed Charlie!”
