Chapter 19
Micah’s point of view
Sitting in the bar, I sipped on my beer as I thought of everything that happened. The last few weeks have been stressful and, of course, Mateo is not making things easier with him insisting that I should just accept everything that is happening.
“Mind if I join your” Daniel asked me as I sighed heavily, ignoring him while I fixed my attention on the glass before me.
“I know you don’t like to hear this,” he said, pulling the chair closer to mic,
“Whatever you want. I’m not in the mood.” I replied.

ut I just continued drinking.
Even though Kate insisted that we welcome her cousin into the pack a few years ago, I do not like the idea of having a stranger working in the pack.
“Zara is an innocent person” he started as I exhaled heavily turning to look at him, he wasn’t thinking of having g this conversation with me
“She just found herself in this mess. She didn’t choose this life. She was gifted this,” He continued as I exhaled heavily, turning to look at him.
“Is that what she asked you to do? To come here and talk to me.” I raised my eyebrows as he shook his head.
“I thought Kate was your cousin?” I narrowed my eyebrows.
“She is. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t speak the truth,” He said to me as I sighed heavily, gulping down the alcohol in my glass and trying to stand up
“Oh please. Don’t leave it on my account. I just thought I should tell you that,” he said to me as he grabbed his beer and made his way out of the bar.
Zar. Fucking Zara
I cursed as I pulled more whiskey, gulping down everything. Not getting satisfied with drinking from the glass, I began drinking from the boule.
I needed to forget about her. Needed to get her out of my mind. All I needed to do was just forget about her.
Why does it hurt me when I see her crying? 1 inwardly asked myself, drinking everything from the bottle.
Maybe it’s because she’s meant to be ours, Axel retorted as I shook my head
“Hey!
Give me another one!” I ordered another bottle as I placed a few dollars on the table.
Making my way out of the bar, I grabbed my bottle as I made my way out of the room
“Axel. Get us home,” I ordered, knowing too well my wolf couldn’t be drink.
Taking the first step, I let him take charge as he took us back home. Running through the trees, I missed the way the air felt flowing through my fur
The way the ground feels when I connect to it. Making my way into the house, it was too quiet as I went up to my room.
We had briefly moved into one of the guest rooms because Kate wanted to remodel our bedroom, so here I was making my way into the bed.
“Kate?” I shouted as I opened the door to the room.
Everything felt like it was spinning, the ground closer to me as I chuckled softly.
“Oh, my god!” Kate shouted as 1 chuckled softly/
“Oh, Kate. Am so sorry,” I said to her as 1 went closer to her.
“Please stay away from me,” she said, trying to come closer to me as I swallowed hard. “Axel, help me out here.” I said to my wolf, letting him take
over as I went closer.
“No! No!” The voice came as I pulled Kase, throwing her to the bed. And she tried to move away. /
“Running her! You know how I love it when you play hard to get” I chuckled sofily as I grabbed her by her ankle, pulling her closer to me.
“Get off me. Micah!” She said as I smiled at myself.
“Help me forget that girl,” I whispered to her as I pulled down my trousers and boots.
“Please leave” She cried as I pulled her closer, planting my lips on her neck.
“Am sorry about earlier,” Lapologized to her as I let out my canines.

Chapter 19
“I will forget her,” I whispered as I spread her legs, and I pushed myself into her.
“Oh, yes!” I cried as I held her down on the bed,
“Please no. No!” She tried to fight me off, but I thrust into her harder… with my eyes closed while my canines dug deeper into her flesh
“I love you Kate,” I whispered to her as I thrust into her again, Letting Axel take over for the rest of the marking.
I wanted him to feel her, to accept her as well as his mate. This is what we wanted, not some girl who doesn’t even know how many mates she has,
The next morning when I woke up, I couldn’t recall much of what happened last night because of the memory loss that Axel was experiencing
My head was pounding as I tried to recall what happened. Looking around the room, I couldn’t help but wonder what had happened
I hated drinking, but all I wanted to do was just forget about that girl. I hated having thought about her.
Grabbing my things. I looked at Kate’s things on the side of the bed as I dragged myself up. I took a quick shower then changed into something new, heading out
“Micah. We need you here. There’s been an attack‘ Mateo linked to me as I made my
way
out of the bedroom
“What the hell happened?” I asked as I reached the training ground where two bodies lay on the ground naked and their eyes plucked out.
“What’s this?” I asked as Mateo sighed heavily. “Where did you find them?”
“Who found them?” I asked them as Mateo moved aside, exposing Zara, who was right behind him.
“She found them in the forest.”
“What the hell were you doing there?” I asked her as she sniffled back, unable to speak, as he looked at me.
“I think she must be shocked. I asked Daniel to do a sweep. He explained as I looked at the girl failing to
to make
eye contact with me.
Something was off about all of this.
