Chapter 7
Based on the video content, it was evident that Eason purposefully sought out Lola after conducting an investigation. Lola was a fellow student from my college, and coincidentally, she lived in the building Lily was in charge of. She bore a striking resemblance to Lucas, yet her eyes possess a clarity and brightness of their own.
In the video, she pleaded for mercy, begging Eason to release her.
However, Eason’s excitement escalated as he professed his love for Lola.
In that moment, Eason appeared even more repulsive than Lucas.
With a psychology degree, Eason expertly manipulated and psychologically tormented Lola.
Utilizing his professional knowledge, he brainwashed Lola, employed pick–up artist tactics, and systematically manipulated her into a state of mental instability.
Under his influence, Lola’s memories became muddled, and she fell under deep hypnosis.
Two years ago, Lola discovered she was pregnant.
Eason was unaware that his actions under the guise of love had led to her miscarriage.
This revelation drove Eason to a frenzied search for the supposed father, and he even sent Lola to a mental hospital. Only later did he learn that he himself was the father.
Initially, Lola harbored affection for Eason.
It was a result of the deep brainwashing she had endured.
But later, when Eason’s suspected her of infidelity, abused her, and put her into the mental hospital, Lola began to see the reality. During her six months in the mental hospital, Lola sought help to no avail.
No one would believe what a madwoman says.
As Lola’s attending physician, Eason remained unquestioned. He had even bribed the mental hospital director. The extent of the Lee family’s involvement in Eason’s schemes remained uncertain.
While portraying himself as a caring partner, Eason profited from selling photos and videos of me behind my back. Simultaneously, he played the role of a devoted doctor and boyfriend to Lola.
Before Eason put Lola into the mental hospital, he had slept with me for many times but didn’t impregnate me. He didn’t choose the right way to cure his condition. Micheal told him, maybe god punished him with Lola’s miscarriage.
Without a shred of doubt, Eason took Lola out of the mental hospital.
His cousin was dead, and Michael was his distant cousin–in–law. And Eason told him to marry Lola.
But in fact, Eason and Lola were the couple.
Perhaps fate operated on a metaphysical level.
Once again, Lola found herself pregnant.
During her time in the mental hospital, Lola endured countless setbacks and finally learned to fend for herself. She didn’t want to bear Eason’s child. Under Michael’s vigilant watch, she couldn’t even visit a hospital or pharmacy. On the day Eason embarked on a business trip abroad, Michael, believing Lola to be obedient, let his guard down and went out fo drink with his friends.
Joe’s investigation revealed that Lola had visited several nearby pharmacies that same day to purchase emergency contraceptive pills, gambling on avoiding another pregnancy.
She gambled to see if she could get herself out of pregnancy.
Her gamble paid off.
Perhaps she hadn’t realized how close she came to losing her life.
Now, I comprehend why she regarded me as a kindred spirit upon our first encounter.
We both shared the mantle of victimhood.
Our images and videos were spreading like wildfire on nefarious websites.
We both suffered at the hands of Lucas and Eason.
I couldn’t help but lament that perhaps it would have been better if Eason and his aunt hadn’t found me.
In that case, I would be the only one suffering.
But fate had took its own course since the moment I was dragged into the ditch.
What I thought was a blessing and a narrow–minded rescue was not a free gift. Fate put a huge price on that salvation. The hero fell from grace and became a devil.
It ruined the lives of two innocent girls!
Perhaps he was a demon disguised in human form from the beginning.
