Emily was taken aback. She never expected to be lectured by a four–year–old. However, Liam was right. She had never really observed his features closely. As she scrutinized him, she saw Liam closely resembled a young Nathan
Emily was suddenly incensed, especially when she considered that this child was Olivia’s son. She couldn’t accept it! Emily would’ve accepted anyone else but Olivia! Emily’s complexion paled, and she declared, You’re not similar. Not at all! Let me make it clear. Regardless of your intentions, I won’t acknowledge your
existence.
Upon seeing her reaction, Liam realized that further discussion was futile. He simply explained, “I have no hidden agenda. I just want to be with Daddy. It doesn’t matter if you acknowledge me as long Daddy does.” After that, the young boy ignored her and quietly crouched down to play with the LEGO on the floor.
Emily was furious when she saw this. She hurriedly approached, snatched the LEGO from Liam’s hands, and said coldly. “Get out. You’re not allowed to play with these toys. None of the Carter family’s children are playful: If you truly are Nathan’s son, you shouldn’t engage in such activities.”
“What should I do then?” Liam asked calmly, showing no fear when faced with Emily’s stern demeanor. The woman hesitated momentarily.
She thought of something and pointed outside maliciously. “Go outside and spend an hour in the sun. Nathan exercised and learned self–defense skills since he was young. He didn’t have time for playing things. like these!”
Liam furrowed his tiny brows. “I’ve also learned self–defense, and I’m in good health. The sun is blazing now, and I may suffer heatstroke if I stay outside. You’re being unreasonable!”
“How dare you talk back to me?! Are you going out? Or… do you think I won’t dare to discipline you?” Emily’s voice was sharp, and she had a spiteful demeanor. Liam had never encountered such malice before and instinctively took a step back. This woman is like an evil witch!
“If you lay a hand on me, Daddy will be angry with you.” Liam quipped after pondering carefully. But Emily raised her brows. I raised Nathan. Would my son get angry with me because of an illegitimate child?
“Absurd!” Emily scoffed, “I’ll find out today if he’ll lose his temper at me because of you or if he’ll let it go for my sake!” With that, she called out, “Guards. Come here.”
Soon, two bodyguards clad in black appeared. Emily instructed them, “Take this illegitimate child to the entrance. Don’t let him go if he doesn’t spend at least an hour under the sun. Restrain him!”
The bodyguards hesitated briefly when they heard it but dared not defy her. They promptly seized the tiny Liam, who was no match for the bodyguards. He was quickly forced to stand outside under the scorching sun in no time.
It was almost August, the peak of summer. Liam was made to stand in the sun and was drenched in sweat within half an hour.
Meanwhile, Ethan turned back. He had contacted Nathan on the way to the office only to discover that

Nathan han I requested any documents from him. Realizing he had been deceived, he hurried back, only to see William being forced to stand in the scorching sun.
The little boy’s cheeks were already flushed from the heat. His forehead was perspiring constantly, and his back was drenched! “What are you doing?” Ethan was shocked.
He quickly rushed over and sternly questioned the bodyguard, “Are you out of your mind? Do you know who this is?” The bodyguard in black responded indifferently, “Mr. Thompson, I’m simply following Mrs. Carter’s instructions.”
“What?” Ethan was taken aback and glanced towards the hall. Emily sat on the sofa with an icy expression as she observed coldly. Ethan’s heart sank… How can Mrs. Carter be so heartless and treat a four–year–old child like this? Liam is her grandson!
Ethan knew nothing he said would change Emily’s mind. He had to wait for Nathan to return, so he stepped away hurriedly to make a phone call! When Nathan rushed back, Liam had been under the sun for over an hour and felt light–headed and dizzy.
Nathan was furious and kicked the bodyguard away. “How dare you?!” The bodyguard almost passed out from the pain.
Nathan’s anger had yet to subside, but Liam was tottering, so Nathan swiftly picked up the boy and asked worriedly. “Liam, are you alright?”
Upon seeing Nathan, Liam looked up, aggrieved. “Daddy, you’re back… Before he could finish, he collapsed due to dehydration.
