Although Nathan didn’t provide context, Ethan instantly understood, “I’ve already investigated and sent the results via email! The man beside Ms. Olivia is named Benjamin Hayes. He’s quite influential…”
“Oh?” Nathan raised his brow, set down his cup, reached for the mouse with his right hand, and casually opened his email. After a moment, Benjamin’s information appeared on screen.
“Name: Benjamin Hayes. Gender: Male. Age: Twenty–four years old. Professional background: Senior international investment consultant at Horizon Ventures. A financial prodigy. With his unique vision, he has invested in over three hundred projects in the past three years. He has an awe–inspiring track record of no losses!
The information Ethan investigated was quite detailed. Details about Benjamin’s name, alma mater, and every project Benjamin had been involved in were included. Almost nothing was left out. Benjamin’s information took up several pages.
While Nathan was reading. Ethan added, “Benjamin is very well–known in Germany. Several European nobles have offered generous terms to poach him, but he has turned them all down!” After reading, Nathan leaned back in his chair, a hint of surprise in his eyes. “He is quite skillful… But what is his relationship with Olivia?”
Based on how Olivia had been when she was sent abroad years ago, she shouldn’t have any connections with someone of this caliber. Still, the facts were evident. Nathan’s expression darkened when he thought of how Benjamin had walked beside Olivia that day. It was apparent that Ethan had also investigated this issue. He hesitated before he spoke with slight disbelief. “He and Ms. Olivia are superior and subordinate.”
“Superior and subordinate?” Nathan paused briefly, “Is Olivia an employee of Horizon Ventures?” Ethan nodded. “Yes.” Nathan’s expression instantly relaxed slightly, and he didn’t feel as annoyed. He nodded faintly. “Olivia can learn much from such a man.”

Nathan was utterly stunned. His usually cold expression was replaced by disbelief. Ethan also felt incredulous He had seen how insignificant and lowly Olivia had been back then. It was easy to imagine how miserable she felt after being driven out of Carter Manor.
No one would have imagined that she would transform and become the general manager of a world- renowned company after five years. Even someone like Benjamin was now serving under her! This change in status was simply unbelievable!
“Are
you sure you didn’t make a mistake?” Nathan remained silent for a while, processing this information. However, he felt restless! The tiny woman who once needed to hide behind me for protection has grown to such an
extenit
“I didn’t. Ms. Olivia entered Horizon Ventures three years ago. She successfully rose to the general manager position in about half a year. All the senior executives and shareholders of Horizon Ventures trust her very much.”
Ethan seemed to remember something else. “By the way, Horizon Ventures seems to be planning to set up a branch in Emberfall. It’s been reported in international financial news this morning that they’ll send someone back to Wirthon to take charge. I found out that when Ms. Olivia arrived, she initially had a return ticket to Germany the same night, but it was later canceled! She’s staying in Emberfall and even bought a house to settle down in. I’m guessing Ms. Olivia might be the person in charge.”
After hearing this, Nathan’s initial astonishment vanished. Instead, he felt like Oliva was a stranger. She was no longer the person he once knew. His eyes darkened slightly, and he ignored the discomfort in his heart before asking an important question. “What is her address?”
“Number thirty–six, Scenica Bay.” Ethan replied truthfully.
