Chapter 10 Staying
Im felt a little flustered upon hearing it. Are we really going back? He hugged his mother’s neck, wanting to persuade her again, but heard Olivia say, “Get a refund. There’s no rush to go back. Find a house for me as soon as possible. We might have to stay in the country for a while.”

Benjamin always worked efficiently. He found several suitable houses in less than three days. Olivia took Liam to view the houses, and they finally settled on a relatively quiet villa area called Scenica Bay.

Olivia ignored him. She looked at him sharply with her bright eyes. “Do you think you can trick me just because I returned from abroad? I’ve done my research on the domestic housing market! You’re already getting a net profit of two hundred thousand from twenty–eight million! It’s comparatively expensive, yet you started with thirty million… Olivia narrowed her eyes. Just tell me. Do we have a deal? If we do, I’ll sign immediately. If not. I’ll look at other options”
The realtor was immediately intimidated. He was slightly terrified at the woman’s demeanor. At the side, Benjamin spoke up. “Don’t play dumb. Ms. Olivia doesn’t like to waste time!” The realtor finally came to his senses and broke into a cold sweat. “Okay. It’s a deal. I’ll handle the procedures.”
The signing of the lease and the settlement were finalized in mere days. It wasn’t until they moved in that Liam realized Olivia wanted to settle down in the country, and he was delighted. “This is great. I can live in Wirthon with Mommy from now on.”
“Are you happy to live here with me, or do you have other reasons?” Olivia looked down at him meaningfully. Liam quickly responded smoothly. “Of course. I’m happy to live here with you, Mommy.”
“I hope so.” Olivia shook her head, but she didn’t expose his ulterior motives.

At the side. Benjamin hesitated before finally speaking up. “Ms. Olivia, why did you suddenly decide to settle down here out of the blue?” He had been by Olivia’s side for many years and knew a thing or two about her past. Hence, he was quite puzzled at that moment.
Only then did Olivia remember that she had forgotten to tell Benjamin why she had returned. She explained her work situation briefly and added, “Liam and I are from Wirthon. I had to return sooner or later! Consider it adapting to life here in advance.” Benjamin nodded and didn’t say anything else.
At this moment, Nathan had just finished dealing with a batch of urgent documents in his office at Carter Group. He was resting while massaging his forehead when Ethan entered with a cup of coffee. He placed it on the table and said respectfully, “Mr. Carter, here’s a pick me up.”
Nathan put his hand down, “Mm.” He raised the cup, taking a sip. The bitter flavor filled his mouth, tantalizing
his taste buds. It instantly sobered him slightly! He asked nonchalantly, “How is your investigation going?”
