Chapter 9
Jason took action and found out the result in one night.
It doesn’t matter whether there is a result or not.
Because I showed him some recen

photos of the two children.
He doesn’t think he is someone else’s child.
When I opened the door.
Jason sat leaning against the door, looking very dejected, with cigarette butts all over the floor.
He looked ten years older, with bloodshot eyes.
“Melody… I didn’t know. I didn’t know they were my children. I thought…”
He grabbed me and apologized.
I felt nothing inside.
“You thought it wasn’t your children? Didn’t you even investigate?”
Tears flowed from his eyes and he looked so miserable..
“I’m afraid. I’m afraid that after I tell you the truth… you’ll take the children and run away with Luca.”
I frowned.
What a joke! Doesn‘ t he like Willow?
Why did he pretend to be so affectionate in front of me now?
“It doesn’t matter.”
The children are no longer here. Neither the truth nor his confession can save the lives of my two children.
“Melody, can you please forgive me? I can give you whatever you want…”
The way he begged reminds me of myself.
I frowned and said, “Stay away from me. I don’t care!”
He looked up at me, “Melody, why? Is it because of Willow?”
He said anxiously, “I have nothing to do with her. She had a depression attack and threatened to commit suicide because of my marriage, so I left the wedding.”
“I was kidnapped when I was a child, and she carried me out of the mountains on her back. I was nice to her because I owed her. I didn’t like her.”
Jason took out his cell phone and deleted all of Willow’s contact information.
It turns out he always knew what I cared about.
But he never took it seriously.

What shocked me even more was,
he thought it was Willow who saved him from being kidnapped.
It’s really ridiculous.
I don’t want to bother about anything now.
He begged, “I can announce that you are my wife at the Nelson family banquet next month, and then we can get the marriage certificate and hold a grand wedding, okay?” “Get out!” I lost my patience and slammed the door.
I couldn’t get him away.
He did not give in and came to my door to wait for me every day after work.
Sometimes he would keep watch for the whole night.
I don’t understand what’s wrong with him.
I called Willow and asked her to take him back.
She rushed over and raised her hand to hit me, “Are you very proud? Jason ignored
me.”
Why should I be proud of being entangled with a piece of trash?
I raised my hand to stop her hand, then slapped her twice.
“You deserve this.”
She underestimated the strength of the mother who had been holding two children for
years.
She turned her face away and stared at me fiercely.
I ignored her and went to work.
After I got over my grief, I returned to the studio to continue working.
I don’t want these people to disrupt my life.
It just so happens that I have to attend a banquet today on behalf of the studio.
This is a rare opportunity for the studio and helps me to re–enter the workplace.
I have to go.
didn’t expect it to be the Nelsons‘ banquet.
Jason saw me in the crowd.
He walked straight towards me.
His eyes sparkled.
