Chapter 6
I live in a daze every day.
Until one day I fainted,
I didn’t realize that I had not eaten or slept for too long..
When I woke up, I was in the hospital,
the familiar yet scary place.
Both children were gradually losing their lives in my arms in the hospital.
I pulled out the needle from the back of my hand and stood up to leave.
When I reached the door, I almost fell because I was so weak all over. Fortunately, someone came and supported me in time.
“Are you okay?” A gentle voice.
I looked at Luca.
He is my childhood friend and we were neighbors when we were young.
It was later discovered that he was working as a doctor in the hospital where the two children were hospitalized.
He often helps me take care of the children when I am too busy.
I just didn’t expect him to appear here.
“Can you
walk? I help you back?”
“What are you doing?” A cold voice came from not far away.
Jason stared coldly at our clasped hands.
It’s as if we have done something shameful.
He took a few steps forward and opened his mouth to touch
He wanted to pull me into his arms, but I hid behind Lúca.
Luca stepped forward and protected me.
“The patient needs rest.”

Jason laughed angrily, “You tell me she’s a patient when you’re in the hospital behaving like this?”
He stopped smiling and said, “Melody, you don’t want to marry me just to be with this man?”
I looked at him coldly, “We’re not like you and Willow.”
He was stunned.

I have always been well–behaved and gentle in front of him, and I always do whatever
hapter t
he says.
He gritted his teeth and uttered, “OK.”
Then he left angrily.
