“Even though we’re not divorced, I’m not going to interfere with anything you do anymore. After a year, when Admas calms
down, I’ll file for divorce with you.”
A year wasn’t too long or too short.
Chloe had already wasted three years with Michael.
If another year were added; her sunk costs would only become. much more.
Admas still disagreed, and there was a cooling off period for the divorce. If she counted it that way, it would actually be normal for her to waste a year.
However, Chloe didn’t expect Michael to talk to her so calmly today.
Realizing she was woolgathering, Chloe immediately came back to her senses.
She was thinking too much.
Whatever the reason Michael was now treating her so kindly for, she wouldn’t hold any more fantasies about him in her mind.
“Where are you going? I can give you a ride.”

Michael said it carefully, as if he was afraid she would refuse.

Chloe glanced at the time. She did take a long time in the county court, and she wanted to get back early to deal with the work stuff.
She didn’t refuse it and got into the backseat.
Looking at the empty passenger seat, Michael felt a little upset.
Although their marriage had never been publicized, she had always sat in the passenger seat before.
Michael even remembered the sadness and loss in Chloe’s eyes. when she saw Lucy sitting in the passenger seat after he had given Lucy a ride.
Chloe also complained to Michael that the passenger seat was for girlfriends and wives.
Michael just thought Chloe was being ridiculous at that time. It was just a seat, and it didn’t make any difference to anyone who
sat there.
Chloe obviously used to care about it so much.
Now she was consciously going to the back. Did it mean that she no longer wanted to be Michael’s wife long ago in her mind?
They didn’t talk to each other the whole way. When they got to the downstairs of the community, Chloe just politely expressed her appreciation and got out of the car without hesitation.

Michael was in no hurry to leave but sat in the driver’s seat and watched her enter the residential building.
Chloe lowered her head and walked forward when she suddenly bumped into Quinn, who was coming back from the other side.
“Chloe!”
Quinn watched her get out of Michael’s car.
He thought they had already finalized their divorce, so his tone. revealed joy at this moment.
Chloe looked up at him. “What a coincidence. Did you go out?”
Quinn nodded and told her that he had just gone to the grocery
store.
The two chatted casually all the way to their apartments.
Michael didn’t leave. He sat in his car not far away silently watching the scene with lost eyes, but he didn’t ever do anything
about it.
It was only when Michael saw the two disappear around the corner that he started the engine and turned around to leave.
On the other side, Lucy was sitting at home waiting for the good news with confidence.
However, what she waited for was Michael and Chloe not getting

She was so pissed that she threw the television remote control right out of her hand.
“Why?”
Lucy had obviously asked someone to tell Admas directly what was going on between her and Michael.
According to her plan, Admas should have already known that she was his true love and that he had no feelings for Chloe.
Shouldn’t Admas have gotten Chloe and Michael divorced?
If Admas were genuinely good for Chloe, he shouldn’t have kept her bound to a man who didn’t love her at all.
