After lan finished speaking, both he and his assistant, Eric, were taken aback. Eric stared at lan as though he were seeing an alien.
lan was usually dignified, distant, and seemingly uninterested in women. But at that moment, he looked like a lonely villain, desperately longing to claim a woman for himself.
Eric was petrified by his own thoughts.
Willow was equally surprised. She hadn’t expected lan to be so blunt. Her “thank you” had been more
courteous than genuine. However, when confronted with his direct question, Willow couldn’t simply admit
that her gratitude had been insincere.
She pondered her following words carefully before saying, “Of course.”
“If you want to thank me, how about treating me to dinner tomorrow….” lan’s words trailed off.
He suddenly remembered his grandfather had arranged a blind date for him the following night.
After a pause, he continued, “Let’s plan for the night after tomorrow to meet and sign the contract.”
“Sure thing.“Willow agreed readily.
lan had been a big help to her. So, she figured that taking him out for dinner seemed like a fair exchange.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Willow was glad he hadn’t suggested dinner for the next night because Moses
had forced her into a blind date with his grandson.
Even though Willow knew she had at least another year to live, she wasn’t keen on starting any new relationships. She was conscious that her fragile health could pose a burden on others if she entered into

However, as a doctor, Moses believed in encouraging his patients to embrace life fully. He never
approached Willow with pity but rather enthusiasm, always eager to introduce her to potential partners and push her toward a new relationship.
This time, he had gone as far as setting up a blind date for Willow with his own grandson.
Although Willow had no interest in blind dates, she felt compelled to honor Moses‘ goodwill. She agreed to dinner with his grandson the following night, intending to express her thoughts politely yet firmly.
Willow headed out of the hall once she finalized her plans with lan. That day marked Aaron’s first day at kindergarten, so she needed to pick him up earlier.
Even after Willow left, Eric remained stunned, struggling to regain his composure from the shook. He gently picked his ear while questioning his own hearing. He wondered if he had genuinely heart lan, who typically detested women, boldly ask one to buy him dinner.
“Boss, isn’t your time too valuable? Maybe Tim should handle the contract signing with Ms. Sanford,” Eric suggested.

lan shot Eric a look of disdain. He was bewildered that his “elite” assistant could fail to grasp the words he had just spoken. Eric had made such a foolish mistake.
“Clear my schedule for the night after tomorrow. She’s buying me dinner, and we’ll sign the contract,” lan
ordered.
Eric’s jaw dropped open so wide that one could almost fit a ball in. He had indeed heard lan correctly. The usually reserved and distant lan was actually looking forward to having dinner with a woman. To him, women were the most intimidating beings on the planet.
Eric wiped the sweat from his forehead, feeling a sense of relief. At least now he didn’t have to worry about lan possibly being interested in men or making advances toward him.
While everyone in the hall was preoccupied with their own thoughts, no one noticed Zayn seated in the front row, silently crushing his cup in his hand.
Skyler left the venue a bit earlier than Zayn to rush to her next gig. Meanwhile, Janet was the last celebrity to leave. As she exited the hall, she noticed Zayn standing outside.
“What’s your name?” Zayn asked, his tone indifferent.
His expression was inscrutable as he looked at Janet.
A wave of excitement washed over Janet. She had never imagined that someone as renowned as Zayn would take an interest in her, especially after the embarrassment she had faced earlier that day.
After all, Zayn was celebrated not just for his breathtaking, once–in–a–lifetime looks but also for hailing from a family as distinguished as lan’s.
