Inodded, “Fine, what’s up?”
He smiled bitterly, “No, I just wanted to see you.“‘
I walked straight past him and went to where Mr. Bey was smiling at me.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.”
He patted my head and said, “It’s okay. Cynthia, I just opened a new restaurant. Do you want to try it?”
I smiled and said, “Okay.”
Seeing me and Mr. Bey chatting and laughing, Sheldon’s eyes were filled with sadness.
I pretended not to notice and followed Mr. Bey.
After we had our meal, Mr. Bey drove me home.
Sheldon appeared.
He clenched his fists and stared at me with red eyes, “Cynthia, is that your new boyfriend?”
Mr. Bey is kind and considerate, always putting my feelings first. Completely different from Sheldon’s aggression. It’s very comfortable being with him, I like him wholeheartedly.
Thinking back to when he expressed his feelings for me at the restaurant, I thought, there’s no need to hide it from Sheldon, “Yes, we just started dating.”
Sheldon’s posture suddenly slumped, his eyes gradually became watery, but he still forced an ugly smile, “Cynthia, congratulations.”
I nodded and walked past him.
I haven’t seen him since then.
